Echogenic Catheter-Over-Needle System
Developed together with Dr. Ban Tsui, the E-Cath II / E-Cath II Plus combines the best from clinical experience and engineering expertise, resulting in a system that addresses the biggest catheter problems in CNBs: complexity, catheter kinking, anaesthetic leakage and catheter dislocation and migration.4,5,6,7
The results are easier, faster, safer and more reliable continuous nerve blocks with a reduction of workload during postoperative pain management

E-Cath II /E-Cath II Plus Features & Advantages
Bayonet Lock
Ensures a strong connection between the indwelling catheter and E-Cath ll catheter:
- Engagement can be verified by audible and tactile “click” feedback.
Sealed Puncture Site
The puncture site is sealed by the indwelling catheter as it has a larger outer diameter than the puncture needle:
- After removal of the puncture needle, the tension in the tissue is maintained.
The risk of leakage1-4 and dislodgement2-4* is reduced.
* Only for E-Cath ll, not for E-Cath ll Plus
Two Catheter Layers
Together with the indwelling catheter, the E-Cath ll catheter forms a stable double lumen:
- This supports the kink stability of the E-Cath ll catheter.
Self Priming System
As a result of the proximal opening, anesthetic flows between the outer wall of the E-Cath II catheter and the inner wall of the indwelling catheter during injection:
- Echogenic properties are enhanced.
Soft Tip
- Reduced chance of nerve damage
Integrated Injection Tube
It is permanently secured on the E-Cath ll catheter, no additional handling required:
- Injection takes place directly via the injection tube.
- Reduces the risk of leakage.
Extended E-Catheter Tip (E-Cath Plus only)
- Protrudes 15 mm past the indwelling catheter
- Easy placement past the nerve
- Compensates for minor tissue movement reducing chance of catheter migration

Self Priming System

- Very thin polymer film on inner and outer needle surface
- Excellent puncture and gliding properties through smooth surface
- Precise stimulation through the non-insulated needle tip
