PAJUNK® is celebrating 60 years of innovation, growth, and vision for the future.

PAJUNK celebrated its 60th anniversary with a festive event at Kraftwerk Rottweil. Over 550 guests, including employees, international trading partners, sales subsidiary representatives, and longtime companions, traveled from more than 20 countries to celebrate this special anniversary of the Geisingen-based medical technology specialist. In addition to a global sales and marketing meeting, the evening event, which spanned from the beginnings of the family business to the present and a future in which the third generation is already waiting in the wings, was a particular highlight.

On Friday, July 5, the international guests were given a tour of PAJUNK's modern headquarters in Geisingen to learn about the company's development, production, and logistics processes. That evening, the global PAJUNK network came together at an informal summer barbecue to exchange ideas, demonstrating the solidarity that exists across national borders.
On Saturday, during the international sales and marketing meeting, there were intensive discussions, presentations, and planning in the stylish setting of the Rottweil power station. In the evening, the celebratory highlight of the anniversary weekend began.

 

An Emotional Evening: Time Travel Through Six Decades

More than 550 guests were invited to experience an impressive journey through the eventful history of PAJUNK: from its beginnings in 1965 when brothers Horst and Heinrich Pajunk founded the company, to its international growth under the leadership of the second generation with Simone Pajunk-Schelling and Martin Hauger, and finally to its current successes. Despite the challenging medical technology market, PAJUNK is looking forward to a strong anniversary year. A new sales record of 125 million euros is expected in 2025, and the number of employees worldwide is expected to surpass 700 for the first time. "Success is always teamwork, and PAJUNK is the best proof of this," Simone Pajunk-Schelling said in her speech. She paid tribute to the commitment of the workforce, the dedication of the partners, and the loyalty of long-standing companions.

"Our cohesion — across locations, generations, and functions — is what has set us apart for six decades," emphasized Martin Hauger. "This shared spirit is the basis for our success—yesterday, today, and tomorrow."

 

Visions for the Future: Health in Transition

PAJUNK took advantage of the anniversary stage to reflect on the past and look ahead to the future. In his keynote speech, futurologist Nick Sohnemann, founder and CEO of Future Candy GmbH, painted a powerful picture of tomorrow's healthcare industry. He focused on three key developments: the growing importance of prevention, the holistic and tech-savvy understanding of health among younger generations, and the profound influence of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, miniaturization, and digital twins. PAJUNK sees itself as an active co-creator of this change. In this context, the company announced a pioneering step for its future: the arrival of the third generation.

 

The Third Generation is Taking on Responsibility!

Starting October 1, 2025, Elena Schelling and Benedikt Hauger will open a new chapter in PAJUNK's history. They will take on their first strategic management tasks, which is a significant moment not only for the current management but also for the company's founders. Horst and Heinrich Pajunk expressed their great pleasure in setting the course for the future of the family business. "We are grateful that our life's work will remain in family hands, with new energy and impetus from the next generation," said the two founders.
