Climate protection and the fight against climate change have always motivated Pajunk. The protection of the environment and nature, fair and just job opportunities, and the preservation of natural resources are more important today than ever before. Across generations, people are demanding a consistent climate policy, especially since the young Swedish climate protection activist Greta Thunberg appeared at the forefront of the protests.

At Pajunk we also asked ourselves what we could do and what kind of contribution we could make as an innovative medical technology manufacturer, both today and tomorrow. As a family-run company, we are aware of our social responsibility for subsequent generations. That’s why fair and sustainable production is a major requirement for us and is deeply anchored in our everyday actions. In all of our decisions, we work to ensure sustainable environmental practices. We also consistently adhere to the implementation of our strategically embedded environmental objectives.

Among others, these objectives are comprised of emissions-free production, the minimization of resource consumption through waste heat recovery, and water-based cleaning processes, as well as sustainable building technology using geothermal energy and photovoltaics. This is an important basis for the future viability of our company.

The foundation of the planning of our newest production building D10 was a sophisticated energy management system, as well as an intelligent building concept that harmonizes humans and nature. This project placed great value on sustainable building and energy supply technology based on regenerative energies. On a total area of 1,008 m², the photovoltaic system generates a total of 234,000 kWh per year, which is predominantly used for our own consumption. The most modern ventilation systems and air-conditioning technologies ensure a comfortable indoor climate in all areas of production and logistics.

Additional measures are already in the works and will be implemented gradually in line with our defined environmental objectives. Consequently, in the future we will also intensify our efforts with regard to the conservation of resources and the avoidance of plastic waste.
