60 Years of Growth and Innovation

DANUVIA81

Two building complexes for the expansion of production, administration, warehousing and logistics are already located on the site in the DANUVIA81 industrial and business park. An additional building is being planned to centralize production at this second site in Geisingen.

As we enter our 60th year in 2025, we are poised to continue growing

We start our anniversary year 2025 with strong sales growth and celebrate our 60th birthday. Over the past five years, we have increased our revenue from 67 million euros (2020) to 115 million euros (2024) - growth of around 70 percent. At the same time, our team has grown from around 500 to almost 700 employees worldwide. Behind this success is a blend of pioneering spirit and innovation that has characterized our company since its founding. With another major investment project, we are meeting the challenges of the medical technology market and equipping ourselves for the future.

For 60 years, we have focused on our core competencies: the development of cannulas, catheters and product systems. Our portfolio is not only established in regional anesthesia, biopsy and minimally invasive surgery, but is also increasingly in demand in pain management and neurology. "The real engine of our growth, however, lies in the market proximity and innovative strength of our company," emphasizes Simone Pajunk-Schelling, CEO of PAJUNK GmbH, and continues: "We keep a close eye on the users of our products, listen carefully and are constantly perfecting the translation of clinical requirements into technical product designs."

Investing in our growth

To accommodate our strong growth, we have made targeted investments in new buildings and machinery over the past six years. This includes the expansion of our production in 2018 and the expansion of our warehouse and logistics space with administration in 2023 at the new location in the DANUVIA81 industrial and commercial area in Geisingen. "With these new buildings, we have created the decisive prerequisites for the implementation of highly automated production processes and intelligent logistics systems in line with Industry 4.0," emphasizes Martin Hauger, CEO of PAJUNK GmbH. The investment program was supplemented by the construction of a new US headquarters with a clean room north of Atlanta - a further step towards meeting the special requirements of the US market for the production of customer-specific sets.

Next expansion planned

Our growth continues. We are currently planning a new construction project that will transfer a large part of our production capacity to the DANUVIA81 site. This is the largest single investment in our company's history and underlines our clear commitment to further growth and regionalism.

Market challenges

As an international company with an export share of 75%, we also face challenges. "High energy prices have a direct impact on our competitiveness, as do the conditions and cultural changes in the German labor market," says Simone Pajunk-Schelling. "In addition, there is growing protectionism, which is reflected in the increasing regulation of medical technology products," adds Martin Hauger. We would like to see a policy that takes these challenges seriously and strengthens German industry in the long term.

60th anniversary celebrations

As one of the largest employers in the region, we are aware of our responsibility and the roots of our success. That is why we are kicking off our anniversary year not only with a tribute to our founders Horst and Heinrich Pajunk, but also to our employees from all departments and generations. In July, we will invite employees, distributors and long-time customers from all over the world to join us in celebrating our anniversary. One of the highlights will be a presentation by a futurologist - because we already have our sights set on the next technological developments and market opportunities.
